Kids and Water

Somehow, it is quite difficult to separate kids from water. Perhaps they are born with it. Anyway, kids do spend a lot of time with in the ambiotic sac in the womb. So that's how their associate themselves with water.

We took our kids to a hotel in KL sometime last week. I was chosen to become one of the panel of judges for a writing competition. So, for the prize giving ceremony, I was given a room (deluxe size) by DBP. I don't want to be alone so I decided to take the whole gang.

My kids love the oversize bed. They just couldn't stop jumping and using the bed as their trampoline. Since they were so noisy, I decided to let them use the bathroom. So, I filled the tub and put the bath foam. In they went! Like ducks they play happily in the water. At least the noise was reduced by then.

That night, we went for the dinner. We chose the table near the exit for obvious reasons. We made frequent trips (notice the plural) to the restroom. But at least they did enjoy some of the show during the dinner since the performers were primary school chilren. I guess my kids manage to associate themselves with it.

My husband and I decided to leave early since we detected some trouble coming up or rather before the trouble set in.

And that was not the end of it.

The next day, the kids beg to go to the same hotel again. Oh, oh! I'm dead. My eldest cried for an hour when she was told that she couldn't go to the hotel everyday. I know she missed the bathtub and she and her sisters had a wonderful time there.

When Makro sent their monthly pamphlets, they saw the mini swimming pool and said, "Can I have the swimming pool?"

Thank God she requested for the small one. If only she knew that some houses do have a swimming pool in the frontyard.
