One thing that I don't particularly enjoy is shoe shopping. The other day, I had to make an appearance on the eve of Merdeka Day at the Seremban Municipal Field (better know as Padang MPS) to recite a short syair. After the rehearsal at 4.00, I just realised that I didn't actually have a proper shoe to match my dress. The only pair that I have (yet, the most comfortable one) has already worn out, and sure not suitable enough.
I had no choice but to go shoe shopping. I knew that I would be in trouble because shopping for clothes, shoes or other apparels is not my favourite past time. One thing, I don't like most of the shoe designs these days. They are either too elegant or too un-practical to wear. Shopping for shoes means I have to do shop hopping as well. Going through Seremban town on the eve of Merdeka would be a nightmare.
After an hour of shoe shopping, I gave up. I settle for a pair of shoes that I bought at Pacific, near Ampangan. Not actually my favourite and the best choice but it will do. But I will only wear it only when I have to.
Nothing beats the comfort of an old shoe.

Hello Kak Nisah, I love the way you write and just came across an article about you recently. Hope you don't mind if I put a link to yours.
true enough, i never enjoyed accompanying my girlfriend for the perfect sandal quest.
Kak,
I also hate shoe-shopping. I only have two pairs - one for work and one for normal use. I will only replaced them when they already really worn out.
Shoe-shopping is really a heartache.
