What to Expect on Mother's Day?

Along came home excitedly when her father fetched her at quarter to noon. I was busy in the kitchen. She just can't wait to tell me something. "I've something for you!" she said.

Without missing a beat, she was smiling with her latest 'art project'. It was a Mother's Day card (picture above). "Happy Mother's Day! I put some keropok on this card." She was completely overwhelmed with her sense of accomplishment.

I was definitely overjoyed as well. I kissed and thanked her. She laughed and ran away with the card. She still fail to comprehend that when you make a card for someone, you are supposed to give it to that person and not taking it back.

If fact, she doesn't know what to do with it. So, before the card became a toy, I quickly saved it by putting it on display in the living room. Oh well, I should be proud of it, since that would be the first time, I ever received a Mother's Day wish!

What do I expect to get on Mother's Day? Something impossible, actually. I wish for a peace and quiet day. The day that I can do whatever I want and not to be disturbed. I rarely get to be on my own. I don't even have my own room to do my own things. Since, it is only a wish, I can go on wishing for whatever it is that come across my mind.

To all mothers out there, Happy Mother's Day - everyday.
